Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Award Scholarships

Old Lyme, CT. – The Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club awarded three $1,500 scholarships to students of Lyme-Old Lyme High School at the June 5th Region 18 Board of Education meeting.

Lions’ scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated excellence in community service as well as academics and athletics. This Wednesday, Lions Past President Jack Oliver presented the Harold J. Nickerson award to Frederick (Rick) J. Harrison. Lauren Colburn received the Ralph P. Kehoe Scholarship, and the Lew Krause award went to Veronica Lee.

Peace PostersAwards were also presented to 8th grade Middle School students Cole Dushin and Nikolas Herrera for their winning Peace Posters, which will now be part of the International Lions’ Peace Poster competition.
