STOP THE BLEED-PUBLIC EVENT
Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club “Stop The Bleed” Training
On November 30, from 6:00p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club will host “Stop The Bleed” training, teaching the public what to do in the event of a school incident, home fall or accident, a car accident, gun violence or other violence around them threatening them, their family, friends or someone’s life through blood loss until the EMT’s arrive. The event will take place at Memorial Town Hall at 52 Lyme Street in Old Lyme.
Registration is required by emailing sillysue617@gmail.com or calling Sue Martin at 860-617-5345. The course is free and attendees who complete it will also receive free Stop The Bleed kits to handle implementation of what you learned. Space is limited so register early.
The program will consist of a powerpoint presentation followed by a questions and answers session and then hands on instruction by Maria Gladue, an Emergency Medical Technician [EMT] as well as a Lisbon Lions member. Maria has presented this program many times to acclaim. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we may start on time.
