Eyeglass Collection

Used eyeglasses may be deposited in one of our two Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Eyeglass Collection Boxes. One is located in the lobby of the Lymes’ Senior Center, 26 Town Woods Road, Old Lyme, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 am-3 pm.   The second box is located in the lobby of All-Pro Auto in Old Lyme at 147 Boston Post Rd., which is open from 7 am-7pm Monday through Friday.  Our Lions Club welcomes your donation of eye glasses at any time of the year!  The 28th Annual Journey for Sight & Eyeglass Extravaganza was held on May 6, 2023, at McCooks Point Park and Boardwalk in beautiful Niantic! New Eyes for the Needy, a non-profit organization cleans, recycles and sends the glasses that the Lions Clubs collect overseas to developing nations. This year, the Lyme-Old Lyme Lions Club collected and donated 146 pairs of eyeglasses!
